Sue was admired by many of her "regular" customers. Sue was patient, kind and had a keen sense of humor.
I always looked forward to buying my morning coffee from Sue. I especially loved her trivia questions and we often laughed at how us "older folk" obviously knew the answers. During the rare moments when I could not remember the answer, Sue always gave me a hint! That is a testament of who Sue was, always putting others before herself.
My thoughts and prayers are with Pam, and Sue's extended family. In the short time that I grew to know her, she enriched my life!
Namaste,Sue,the universe holds you now.

Heartfelt sympathy to Sue's family and friends. Very saddened to read of her passing. I bought a newspaper from her regularly at her HyVee counter. Her kindness, wit, smile and excellent customer service was always shining. RIP.

Susie is one of those people that comes along once in a life time.
I have known Susie my entire life, growing up we lived next to each other and played together.
I think she even beat me up a couple of times.
Even though we lost touch over the years, I thought about her every day and thanked God for the lessons she never knew she was teaching me.
I remember when she asked me to be on Homecoming Court with her. I was a person with no real status and she made me feel like I was just as important as the others, even when I locked the keys in my parent's car at the Homecoming dinner. We were still laughing about that years later.
Susie always looked out for me, helped me face my fears, and taught me that life should be enjoyed and that laughing is always better than getting upset about it.
My hope is that when I reach those pearly gates, she will be there to meet me and include me.
Thank You Susie!!!!!!!!!!

I was so saddened to read of Sue's passing. It took me back to the years 1980/81 when we went to school together in Waukesha. There were four of us who formed a tight bond that year, and shared many laughs, both in the classroom, and outside of the classroom. She kept a protective eye on me when we went out at night which I appreciated. She always spoke highly of her family and I remember how much she loved being an Aunt. I ran into her in the early 90's in Madison, and although we lost touch after that, I have thought of her often throughout the years. In fact, whenever I hear Lodi,or see a sign for Lodi, I think of Sue. I had never heard of it before I met her. I looked on facebook a year or so ago to see if I could find her but did not. My thoughts go out to her family, friends, those who have loved her the longest and deepest. No matter how much time has gone by, I can still clearly remember her smile, voice and laugh. I guess if people remember me by those things as well one day, that is a nice memory to leave them with. I foster for two dog rescues and will make a donation in Sue's name to both of them.
