Obituary
MILWAUKEE - Donald E. Reader, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Donald was a police officer in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin for 37 years, retiring as a lieutenant. He then worked for the Milwaukee Brewers for 17 years. Donald was a loving and devoted husband and father, and made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed golfing, travel, and aviation. He is survived by his sons, Bill (Sue) Reader of Phoenix, Ariz. and Don (Candace) Reader of San Diego, Calif.; grandchild, Jennifer; and sisters Dorothy and Ethel. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; son Steven; his parents; and brothers Gordon and Richard. No services will be held.

My most sincere condolences. I knew Don when he was with the WFBay PD. Among other things, we enjoyed lunch, played golf, and flew the Concord together at the EAA airshow.
Great guy who will be missed. RIP old friend.

Don was a wonderful brother and role model. He honored me by giving me away at my wedding. His positive outlook and friendly personality made him loved by his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear brother.
