The world has lost the kindest and gentlest man but I know he and his friend David (my husband) are in heaven, smiling and happy, pain free and whole....watching over Caroline and me. Our God has got two of the greats!!!!!!

Aunt Caroline, Know that you will have the support of many family members and friends, who will be with you in both spirit and body through this heartbreaking time. You have our deepest sympathies and our love, Dale and Nancy Braun

John was a very good friend and fun to be with when we shot together at the Black Earth Rifle Club. He will be missed by all of his shooting buddies and we thoroughly enjoyed being with him. I am sure he will have the time of his life with God.

I FIRST MET JOHN WHEN DICK MARKSTROM HIRED ME IN 1964. I FIRST WORKED FOR RUSS POPE THEN JOHN BEFORE BILL VITENSE. I THEN WAS TRANSFERED TO THE MADISON PLANT TO RUN THE TEST LAB THERE. I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING JOHN AT THE 25 YEAR CLUB DINNERS WHERE WE WOULD CATCH UP AND REMINICE. I MISSED JOHN AT THE LAST ONE HELD. I ALWAYS ENJOYED MY TIME SPENT WITH HIM. MY CONDOLENCES TO CAROLINE AND PAUL. JOHN WILL BE MISSED BY ALL THAT KNEW HIM. RESPECFULLY, BILL LINDERUD
