My condolences to Bill's family. We will be unable to attend the funeral because of an afternoon family commitment in Minnesota. When we would attend the DNR Retirees Luncheons together, Bill and I would talk about our work trips up north together. He would kid me about wanting to stop at Dairy Queens. He swore I had the location of every Dairy Queen memorized. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and Pat. Dominick and Jackie Mangardi

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have many memories of your dad when we were growing up- he always made me laugh! I know he loved his 3 girls very much! Hugs to you all.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I am a bartender at the Hody and Bill would come in for his morning coffee. I truly enjoyed him and have and will miss him. He would always have a half cup before either leaving or switching to something else. We brought him a half coffee cup when on vacation because it reminded us of him. What a kind and gentle soul.

As the superintendent of the Brule River State Forest, I worked with Bill as he assisted us in the design and development of various projects on the State Forest. He was a good friend, enjoyable to work with and a competent engineer.
