Obituary
MADISON-Stanley Harlan Aure, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013, at his home. He was born on Feb. 13, 1924, on a farm near Oslo, Minn., the son of Emil and Cora Aure (Bjorndal) Aure. Stanley served in the U.S. Army during World War II and also served in the South Pacific. He married Stella Mindak on Nov. 3, 1954. Stanley moved from East Grand Forks, Minn. to Madison in 1957. He worked for Madison Street Department for 21 years, retiring in 1988. Stanley was a member of the VFW Post No. 7591, the American Legion No. 501, and St. Dennis Catholic Church. He is survived by his son, Timothy J. (Nancy); daughter, Lauri (Jim) Brown; his sister, Ethel (Don) Bringle; and grandchildren, Jared, Seth, David (Latoya), Rebecca, Hannah, Grace, and Lauren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; brothers, Lonnie and Ronald; and a sister, Dolores (Knapper). Memorial service will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at Noon on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

So sorry to here about uncle Stan.
I will always remember the trip we may with your family and mine out to Dickinson ND. It was a good childhood memory.
