To Norvan's family:
I met Norvan 2 years ago when I began to take him Communion every other week, in my work as Pastoral Minister for St. Albert's Parish. I last took him Communion on May 7th. I usually visited him on Tuesdays with such regularity, that when I would come - say, on Ash Wednesday - his first remark would be "It's not Tuesday." :-) It seemed like there was nothing wrong with Norvan's mind or attention to detail -which is probably why he liked his accounting work.
While Norvan was never a really chatty fellow with me, we could have good conversations, and even laugh a little together about some things. I liked Norvan, and I think Norvan knew that. During one of the times I visited Norvan in the hospital in the last year, I told him that if he let me know where he would be when he was discharged from the hospital, I would come visit him where he was - and he said, "You'd miss me, wouldn't you?" And I said yes... I will indeed miss Norvan... I just wanted you to know...
Peace to all of you... I suspect Norvan is already at peace, now that his is reunited with Ginny...
Respectfully, Paula Horn

My condolences to Norvan's Family. I just want you to know that you have my sympathy and I have a lot of memories of all of you from growing up with Char and I guess your whole family pretty much. I don't think I will make the visitation because of other commitments but know you will all be in my prayers.

I have many fond memories of Norvan when I was a child visiting Uncle Norvan and Aunt Ginny with my family, or when they babysat with us when my parents would go out for a rare getaway. As kids, I'll always remember how he could make us all laugh with his teasing and jokes. I know that when Aunt Ginny passed on a couple of years ago, Norvan said several times at her funeral how much he would really miss her. I'm glad, and feel at peace, that he is with her now. We'll really miss you too, Norvan.
