September 21, 1924 - April 17, 2013
Obituary
ARLINGTON-Arbie Lee Reible, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the age of 88 years. He was the first of twelve children born to the late Carl and Magdalen Reible on September 21, 1924. Arbie was raised on the family farm near Roxbury and enjoyed farming his entire life. Arbie married Ruth (Schulenburg) on June 1, 1946. Shortly after they started farming with Ruth’s parents, Ernest and Elfrieda Schulenburg and in 1977 with his son Roger on the Arlington Prairie. Arbie and Ruth enjoyed 65 wonderful years together before she passed away on September 8, 2011. Now they are back together again in heaven like two peas in a pod. Arbie also worked off the farm at Goodyear Tire Co. in Sun Prairie as a mechanic for 20 years. After his retirement he still helped out with farm work, enjoyed making wood crafts, liked feeding and watching the birds and most of all getting together with all of his family. He will be deeply missed by all of us and will be remembered for his big smile, his sentimental ways, his advice, bib overalls and in the last year his love of little chocolate candy bars. Arbie is survived by his son Roger (Betty) Reible; daughters, Arlene (Julio) Gonzales and Arlette Reible (Kurt Kueffer), six grandchildren; Nick (Jessi), Brenda (Nick), Joanna (Brett), Jessica (John), Kasey and Jared, eight great grandchildren; Tyler, Samantha, Elizabeth, Erika, Cade, Briar, Lily and Mercedes, brothers; Earl (Sadie) Reible and Buster (Bonnie) Reible, sisters; Shirley Krause, Doris (Gerald) Boehnen, Alice Schmitz, Grace (Jim) Keenan and Darlene (Tim) Schroeder, sister-in-laws; Betty Reible, Dolly Reible, Betty Reible and Darlene Gentz. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, son; Randy Reible, brothers; Norman Reible, Donald Reible and Harold Reible, sister; Luella Blumenstein and brother-in-laws; Robert Schmitz, Bob Blumenstein, Ervin Schulenburg and Marvin Gentz. Our prayers and sympathy to the family. When I first moved to the Leeds area in 1971 Arbie and Ruth always greeted me in church and made me feel welcome. It's wonderful that they are now reunited again. Betsy
