Obituary
MADISON-Jon “Scott” Enstrom, age 53, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013, surrounded by family at Agrace HospiceCare. Scott was born on Feb. 26, 1960, in Queens, N.Y. to John H. Enstrom and Sharon E. Jacoby Enstrom Kossick. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1978. Scott served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 until 1985 and was a Senior Airman (E-4). He worked for more than 20 years at the Walgreen’s Distribution Center in Windsor, Wisconsin.Scott was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, boating, and his Wednesday night pool league. He enjoyed watching all sporting events, especially the Packers and Badgers. Scott was known for his wonderful sense of humor and sharp wit. Scott loved spending time with his friends and family. He also loved his pets. Scott is survived by his wife, Terri; daughter, Jennifer; son, Brian Zubke; step-father, Rodney (Susan Melrose) Kossick of Modesto, Calif.; brothers, Patrick (Allison) Kossick of Dennison, Colo. and Kelly (La Rissa) Kossick of Denver, Colo.; and sister, Kimberlee Kossick of Modesto, Calif. In addition, Scott is survived by his special aunt, Sally Enstrom, of St. Louis Park, Minn. who lovingly referred to Scott as “my boy”; and aunts, Sandra Stendsrud of Denver, Colo. and Rogene Olderbak of Doniphan, Neb. Scott leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brothers, Todd (Susan) Enstrom and Jeffrey Enstrom. The family wishes to thank the staff at UW Palliative Care, Capital Lakes Care Center, and Agrace HospiceCare for their kindness. A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 East Monona Drive, Madison, from 11 a.m.until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Immediately following the gathering, outdoor military rites will be performed. Afterwards, anyone who would like to may join the family at Highland Memory Gardens, 3054 Hwy BB (Cottage Grove Rd.), for a short graveside service. Scott was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
