I did not spend a lot of time in life with him. He worked two feet away from my best friend Ben. I had the chance to hang out with him a dozen times or so. The one time that I can think we got to know each other the most was this last summer when he road his old honda motor cycle with Aaron and me to the Rocker box bike show. Everyone went there separate ways and we walked around together that hole day.I am a motor cycle nut so he was asking me all he could to know about everything we seen. I loved it because I always asked him questions about bikes when I seen him. I will truly miss him even with what little time I got to know him.

To the Vogts Family. Please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of your son and brother. I have a son who is a bike riding enthusiast. He rode his bike from British Columbia to the southern tip of South America. We worried about him every day but it's what he wanted to do so we supported him. They are a very special group of people. Peace be with you.

My sincere sympathy for the loss of such an incredible person. Ben and fellow workers at Budget are truly saddened by this and will miss Him. I only met Chris once while visiting Ben at the bike shop and remember his smile the most.
May you always find comfort in all your memories. Sue

I met Christopher when he came into the Super 8 hotel in Monroe, WI. He had just began this journey to New orleans and it was a bitterly cold night. What a friendly, happy man is was. I am the front desk attendant at the Super 8, I checked him in and had a wonderful talk with him, The heat was coming off his body and we engaged in a great conversation about his travels and where he was headed. He had a great personality and nice smile. He briefly touched my life and I just wanted to let you know how I felt and express my sympathy to his family and friends. Mary Meier

This is unbelievably sad news.
While it's been a relatively long while since I worked with Red at Box Dog Bikes in SF, I was and still am touched by his spirit and outlook on life. He was a constant reminder to me to live life in the moment and to it's fullest.
My condolences go out this his friends and family all over the country as I'm sure he has effected their lives as much as he's effected mine.
