Obituary
MADISON-Zachary Adam Bonlie, age 32, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. He was born on June 1, 1980 in Madison. Zach had a passion for reading literature. He has written many works of fiction and poetry that will be cherished forever. He wanted to become a published writer. Zach loved literary discussions with others. He enjoyed telling and listening to stories. Zach loved a good cup of coffee and reading a good book while at the coffee shops he frequented so often. He was so witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. He once said he felt a great sense of freedom and serenity when he was able to gaze upon the rugged, raw beauty of the natural world. Zach loved the outdoors, gazing at the stars, sunsets, swimming and hiking. He was a kind considerate person who had compassion for others, and helped others. He loved cooking and was working as a prep cook at Porchlight Products. He spoke often of how much he enjoyed his coworkers. Zach was very happy and proud to work there. He felt close to God and prayed daily. Zach was a member of St. Bernard Parish. He received his HSED in 2001 and also attended some college course work at MATC in carpentry, liberal studies and food service. Our heart felt condolences to our friends and Zack's family. We have known Zack since he was 7-years old and have known his struggles. Sadness brings the knowledge that now Zack is at peace.

Greetings Zach's Family ~ Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Zach enjoyed life and enjoyed it to its fullest through his love for nature, creative writing, and his music. I entered Zach's life through my daughter, Jamie, and enjoyed many cups of coffee with him over spirited conversations, and his love for music. A few years back, Zach gave me his guitar and this instrument is played at home and around a glorious campfire at the cabin ~ it is a prized possession. Zach will continue to be prayed for daily and I will be forever grateful to him for being such a positive support for Jamie when her mother passed away. I wish you peace and hope that God guides you through this difficult time. Zach is at peace and back in heaven with his savior. Again, in thoughts and prayers, Blessings. Gary Mulry

Nadine and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Zachary must have added passion and poetry to all of your lives. Even with his passing at far too young an age, I hope you find peace and joy in memories of him. Janet Stevens

I will miss Zach. My heart goes out to you, Carol (Zach's mother) and to Zach's father, whom Zach brought over for me to meet. I got to know Zach through my son Emmanuel who for decades was friends with Zach. Zach would frequently stop by my house to share his joys, his struggles, his accomplishments, his heartaches, his aspirations and his writing. He always made himself available to be helpful when he was over. The peace of the Lord
be with you Zach.
