She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Bernice Holzhueter, Doris Miller, and Shirley Groth; brother, Raymond Haakenson; along with half brothers and half sisters. Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, with the Rev. Susan Schneider presiding. A private family burial will be at Norway Grove Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. I want to extend my sympathy to Myrtle's family. We were neighbors for a lot of years on Dahle St. I have many pleasant memories of those years and saw the girls grow up and get married. Due to my health, I will be unable to attend any services but my thoughts will be with Judy and Sherrie.

Sherry, Ricky and family,
I always enjoyed my visits with your mom at the ESC. Have many fond memories of her. Sorry I could not make it to the funeral but I am still working. My sympathy to you and your family. I just lost Jim in October so I am lost. Take care!!
