My condolences to your entire family. I was a student of Pat's @ MATC in the mid-80s, and she was my clinical instructor my very first semester in nursing school. Pat was wonderful to me at a very difficult time in my life, and her gentle but firm guidance helped make me the nurse I am today. I feel truly blessed that our paths crossed. May God bless all of you!

- Pat was a friend and co-worker of mine at Madison College in the Nursing Skills Lab. We had a lot of laughs together. A few years ago I asked Pat what is one thing she would like to do in her life that she had never done. Her answer was to ride in a Convertible. So on Pat's Birthday that year we surprised Pat with her 'wish come true' and gave her that convertible ride. It was very chilly that day, but it didn't dampen her spirit - She was Very Happy and Excited. Will never forget the day and am very Happy that we were able to make that wish come true for her- Rest In Peace, Pat!

As President of the Carpenter-Ridgeway Neighborhood, I will always remember Pat as a vital part of the neighborhood association board for many years. This past December, our neighborhood board went out caroling during the Christmas season and delivered gift bags to neighbors who needed a little cheering up. We stopped at Pat's and were invited into to see her. Although she wasn't able to speak, she knew who we were. I had the opportunity to squeeze her hand before we left. It was difficult for me to see her, knowing she wasn't doing well, but I'm so glad I did get to see her.
I will miss her around the Carpenter-Ridgeway Neighborhood.
