Obituary
MADISON-Robin Barkenhagen, age 74, of Madison, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at his home. He was born in Madison to the late Harold and Nida (Ladwig) Barkenhagen. Robin worked for the State of Wisconsin for more than 50 years, many in the Equal Rights Division. He was a good-hearted person who was loved by many, including his beloved pets, Buffy and Andy. Robin co-founded the championship winning CapitolAires, an all female Drum and Bugle Corps, based on the conviction that the girls could compete successfully against the male dominated corps of the time. Robin is survived by his wife, Linda Stacy; five children, Dean (Mary) Barkenhagen, Bobette (Mark) Perrin, Jay (Jacqueline) Barkenhagen, Robin (Kristen) Barkenhagen, and Jeremy (Helen) Barkenhagen; stepsons, Tim (Donna) Cacavas, Steven (Nicki) Cacavas, James E. (Tina) Sobbe and Jacob J. (Jennifer) Sobbe; 10 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison at 11 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Robin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Sorry to hear that Robin had passed I ran into him a short while ago, he mentioned you and the children, he said
he loved you guys. Also Robin said, how you Linda hanged in there with him, and he loved hearing the house being so much alive and he hoped you would keep it going and be very happy.
So Linda and your family keep the faith and live each day to its fullest.
