Obituary

MIDDLETON-Maxine Baures, age 64, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 5, 1948, in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Max and Dorothy (Ziemkowski) Luber. Maxine married Vialis Baures on Jan. 29, 1971, in Patch Grove. They moved to Middleton where together they raised two children, Chad and Renee. She graduated from West Grant School in Patch Grove and worked for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, Bridge Office, retiring in 2008. Maxine enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing, going to movies and playing cards with friends, and was also a great cook. She treasured most the time spent with her family, especially her wonderful grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Chad (Denice)Baures and Renee (Mike) Walsh; six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Caitlyn, Hailey, Mason, Peyton and Gage; her siblings, Barb Karnopp, Tom (Linda) Luber and her nieces and nephews, Darci Karnopp, Sabrina (Dave) Hennes, Lacy and Brad Luber and many special friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Max Jr. “Buzz” and Lenny Luber. Visitation will be held at ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 6101 University Ave., Madison from 12 Noon until 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012, where a short service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Harold Zimmick presiding. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bunny and the many other supportive friends of Maxine. Visitation will be held at ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 6101 University Ave., Madison from 12 Noon until 3:30 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012, where a short service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Harold Zimmick presiding.
