Keith's dedication and fairness during his years at the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services was something everyone benefited from.

I always admired Keith's kindness, sense of humor, and professionalism. He was known a man who never held a grudge. Disagreement on one issue never lapsed into another. I enjoyed working with him--and the checkerboard cake he brought to the office. I am leaving on an overseas trip on Nov. 29 so will not be able to pay my respects in person.

Uncle Keith was a very special person. I observed in him a man who loved his wife and children and was deeply committed to them. The loan of his old wooden flute was the impetus my parents needed to encourage me and later my sister Donna to select flute as our "chosen instrument." While he was still 84 (January 2012) I am mindful of the trip he made to Ohio to visit my sister when she was bravely fighting cancer. (Thank you to Nancy for helping facilitate that.) I'm also very thankful his family made a very big deal of his 85th birthday, late July. It brought much joy to one very deserving person. Praying for you (his children, their spouses, and grandchildren) to be comforted and feel the peace and strength that comes from God.

It was sad to hear of Keith's passing. The years I worked for Mr. Goodwin, at the state, were most rewarding. As with all who worked with or for him, were blessed to have his compassion. Also, seeing him at engineering gatherings was always interesting. I will always be grateful for his mentoring and leadership.
