Obituary
MADISON-David A. Wells, age 42, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on Feb. 26, 1970, in New York City, the son of Robert “Allan” and Jean (Doran) Wells. David graduated from Montello High School after attending LaFollette High School in Madison. He was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps from 1981 until 1991. David loved to play percussion instruments, taking part in any activity involving the drums. He enjoyed animals and was known for making riddles, puns, practical jokes and pranks. David was such a people person; everyone he met loved him and there was not a single mean bone in him. He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Nofsinger of Des Moines, Iowa; mother, Jean of Washington, Iowa; sister, Lynn Wells of Madison; nephew, Braden Geiger; along with numerous other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Allan Wells. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at The Argus Bar Grille, 123 E. Main St, Madison, with a visit beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. Please bring any photos or memorbilia to share in memory of David. A service will begin at 2 p.m. to honor Dave's memory through stories and prayers. Rest in Peace Dancin’ Dave.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at a later date.

I had the privilege of working with Dave for just over year. The room was always brighter when he was around. He will be missed.

Empathy and sympathy to family and friends.. I knew David as an nodding acquaintance in middle and high school. And I cried over the news of his early death, most especially after the very well-written post on facebook Lynn shared about how access to healthcare probably could have prolonged his life.
