I always appreciated "Mr. Metzger", especially has I got to know him at Our Savior, Grafton. I can remember when I was trying to incorporate certain aspects of contemporary worship into our service, he was one of my great encouragers. I remember him saying, "Phil, this isn't my cup of tea, but please keep doing it. You are trying to reach the next generation and they need to hear about Jesus." He had an unselfish attitude and was a servant leader. He is someone I will never forget. I look forward to seeing him one day in eternity.

Judy and Family,
I just learned that John has passed, I want you to know how much I enjoyed the time I spent with him. What an enjoyable man he was and with great stories and a wonderful sense of humor. In addition, he was very kind and sweet natured. I just want you to know how sorry I am for your loss and that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Judy
