Obituary
MADISON-Ryan Martinez, age 28, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on Sept. 16, 1983, in Lockney, Texas, the son of Luis and Otilia Rios. Ryan graduated from Memorial High School and worked at Cub Foods for 9 years. He was a hard worker, a beautiful son, and a great brother and cousin. Ryan believed in family and was very loyal to his friends and family. He enjoyed cooking on the grill, family gatherings, and watching movies. He loved listening to his car radio and loved his two dogs, Kiki and Chevo. Ryan had a great impact on people's lives and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Ryan is survived by his parents, Otilia and Luis Rios and Jimmy Martinez; sisters, Gina (Melvin Santos) and Sonja; brother, Alex; his four lovely children, Angelina, Makenzie, Giovanni, and Layla Martinez; a nephew, Carmyne; aunts and uncles, Elsa (Gilbert) Hernandez, Ida (Jose) Sigula, Alfredo (Melissa) Lopez of Madison, Arturo (Dawn) Lopez of Albert Lea, Minn., and Consuelo Zepeda of San Angelo, Texas; and his grandmother, Ciria Luera of Ballinger, Texas. He is further survived by many cousins whom he loved and who loved him and many friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Gina Rivera of Ballinger, Texas and uncle, Mario Zepeda of Madison. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at 11 A.M. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the Ryan Martinez Love Fund has been established and donations may be made at any Associated Bank location. Otilia is very proud to say that she had a beautiful son and couldn’t have asked for more. Ryan is my baby and will always be in my heart.

I never had the opportunity to get to know Ryan, I knew of him through you, Dana and his beautiful children and I know he was loved and he will be missed very much.

I did not know Ryan, but I did have a chance to get to know his family in WI and he was a lucky man to have so many that loved him. I know that his family in Texas loved him as well and he will be missed.

I worked with Ryan when he was in 7 and 8 grade at Toki I will always remeber Ryan. He was a great student

Ryan, you will be missed dearly by my family. You kids spent many FUN times together since highschool. The laugher from our basement was great to hear, and the 'wall' has many good memories. You are part of our family!

I am sorry to hear that Ryan passed away. I knew him in High School at Memorial. I remember him having an infectious smile and always lightening up a room. My prayers go out to all of you as you morn his passing. God Bless and remember he is with God now.
