Ardis J. Sarbacker

OREGON-Ardis Jean Sarbacker, age 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012. She was born on July 10, 1925, in Oregon, the daughter of August and Violet (Landers) Sarbacker. Ardis graduated from Oregon High School in 1943. She then attended St Mary’s UW Extension School in Madison, Cook County Graduate School of Medicine and Hektoen Institute of Medical Research in Chicago, Ill. Ardis was a lifelong Village of Oregon resident and a lifelong member of Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church. She was employed a short time at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elgin, Ill. and then worked at Poser Clinic in Columbus, for more than 41 years , retiring in 1989. Ardis enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, bowling, gardening, the circus, casinos, and her membership in many organizations. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ardis is survived by cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Norwin “Jim”. Funeral services will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Cemetery: Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday.
