Geraldine June Goldmann

COTTAGE GROVE – Geraldine J. Goldmann, age 77, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on June 21, 1935 in Hibbing, Minn., the daughter of Herbert C. and Mary E. (Glumac) Olson. Geraldine married Russell Goldmann in Milwaukee in 1956. She moved with her husband to Madison where she was first employed with Wisconsin Bell Telephone. After the children grew up she went to work for Kohl’s grocery. Geraldine or ‘Dot’ as her mother called her enjoyed animals of all kinds, her outdoor animals, the birds that enjoyed her backyard, Wisconsin basketball, watching tv and reading. Geri loved her dog, “Sunnie” and cat, “Kitty”. Most of all she will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Geraldine is survived by her children, Russell A. Goldmann II of Highland Park, Ill., Robert A. Goldmann of New Albin, Iowa, Rae Ann (John) Bisbee of Stoughton; three grandchildren, Zoe, Abbie and Mandi Goldmann; along with numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Private family services are scheduled.
