Sandra Sue James

MCFARLAND-Sandra S. James, age 69, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012. She was born on Sept. 19, 1942, the daughter of John S. and Janet M. Sanderson. Sandra was self-employed as an occupational therapist. She loved entertaining and cooking. Sandra’s favorite times were telling stories and embellishing on them all. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and roller skating. Sandra especially loved to mentor children. She is survived by her sisters, Catherine F. Wilson-Eyre, Patricia L. Haggett, Rebbeca VandenHeuvel, Jane K. Sanderson, and Carol Cummins; brothers, John M. , Jeffery A., and James J. Sanderson; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charlie W. James; her parents; grandmother, Ruth Harris; great-uncle, Grover C. Kennedy; and great-aunt, Clara Kennedy. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.
