Obituary

LODI – Lillian A. Nelson, Age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was born on December 2, 1927 in West Point Township, the daughter of Jake and Dora (Miller) Benish. Lillian was employed with Central Colony in Madison until her retirement. She then went on to work at various Lodi businesses most recently with Weber’s Bakery. Lillian had a variety of interests but especially enjoyed baking and gardening but what she loved most was spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities and fishing at the cabin. Lillian is survived by her children, Terry (Bill) Schaller, Ronald (Gale) Nelson, Gloria (David) Binette, Bonnie (Ron) Tiedt and Dondi (Margaret) Nelson; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Katherine Heiman, Frances Bjerke, Helen (Clifford) Paepke, and John Benish Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Doris Barman; and grandson Cory Nelson. Funeral Services will be held at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 258 Lodi Street, Lodi, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Burial will be at Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 South Main Street, Lodi, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 and from 10:00 am until the time of service at church on Wednesday. Lillian was loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed. Cemetery: Burial will be at Garden Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 South Main Street, Lodi, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 and from 10:00 am until the time of service at church on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 258 Lodi Street, Lodi, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012.
