Ardys Jones

COTTAGE GROVE-Ardys Jones, age 70, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on April 19, 1942, in Stoughton, the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Reusch) Olson. She married the late Thomas Jones on Dec. 23, 1971. Ardys graduated from Stoughton High School in 1963. She was employed with Ameritech and retired after 30 years of service. Ardys was a life member of the TelecomPioneers, and a volunteer clown for Ronald McDonald House. Ardys was outgoing and lived life to the fullest. She was always willing to offer a helping hand. Ardys loved dancing to country music, gardening, cooking for family and friends, and traveling. She had many friends, and enjoyed surrounding herself with people and spending time with family. Ardys is survived by her sisters, Beverly Walker and Patricia Westby; many nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Bernadine Seyer and Mary Lou Renz; brother-in-laws, Gene Walker, Paul Seyer, and Bill Westby; niece, Jacquelyn (Renz) Morschauser. Funeral services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, with Pastor Larry Jordan presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, and also at the cemetery chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kramper and his staff of U.W. Clinic – Cottage Grove for their compassionate and loving care of Ardys. The family also appreciates the kind and loving care received by Ardys from the staff of Meriter Hospital and Agrace Hospice. Memorials may be made to Badger Honor Flight or a Charity of one’s choice.
