Ralph Frisch

MIDDLETON-Ralph W. Frisch, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Health Care Center in Madison. He was born on December 28, 1914, in Madison, the son of Andrew and Bertha (Dahl) Frisch. Ralph was united in marriage to Ruth Punswick on May 17, 1939 in Madison. She preceded him in death in 2006. He owned and operated his own farm in the town of Middleton until 1967 when he went to work with the Bruce Company until his retirement at the age of 65. Ralph enjoyed landscaping and chopping wood but truly treasured most the time he spent with his family. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church of Middleton. Ralph is survived by his children, Nancy (Kirk) Jolliffe, of Madison, Bill (Jo Jeanne) Frisch, of Middleton, Sandy (Dale) Schmidt, of St. Paul, Minnesota and John (Margaret) Frisch of Chesapeake, Virginia; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Frisch; a sister, Florence (Andy) Annen and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his loving wife Ruth, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ernest, Louis, Carl, Arthur, Raymond and a sister Edna Maly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 27, 2012, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to St. Mary’s Care Center, Dr. Lechmaier and geriatric nurse practitioner Teri Patwell for their loving care and support. Cemetery: Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
