Obituary
MADISON-Mary Lou Hockett, age 82, recently residing in Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, in Sun Prairie. She was born on June 14, 1929, in the Greenbush area of Madison, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Cimino) Ciulla. Mary Lou was a graduate of Madison Central High School. She married Victor Hockett on Nov. 15, 1952, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Mary Lou was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in their sporting events. Mary Lou was fiercely proud of her Sicilian heritage. She enjoyed trips to the casino and playing bingo. Mary Lou also loved spending time at her daughter’s farm, and being around all the animals. She is survived by her children, Peter (Jeanne) Hockett, Maria (Jerry) Hahn, Dick (Kathy) Hockett, Victor (Barb) Hockett; and eight grandchildren, Matthew (Ann), Anna, Josh, Mike, Paul, Katie, Nic, and Alex Hockett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vic; brothers, Richard and Ben; sister, Isabel Ciulla; and grandson, Christopher (Gibson) Hahn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY PARISH, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dane County Humane Society or Agrace HospiceCare. Ciao, Ciao, Nona!
