John A. Kelley

Kelley, John A. DEKORRA-John A. Kelley, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at UW Hospital. He was born on July 4, 1948, in Madison, the son of John L. and Mary Ann (Martig) Kelley. He married Diane L. Laufenberg on June 10, 1967. John owned and operated MI Place Bait Shop in Dekorra. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his pets. John was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He enjoyed his morning coffee with the guys at the shop. John is survived by his wife, Diane L. (Laufenberg) Kelley; children, Anthony Kelley, Deedee (Alan) Hanson, Veronica (Kevin) Douglas, Samantha (Jeremy) Bennett, Cerena (Steve) Standiford, and foster son, Thomas (Julia) Willan; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Tim (Rhonda) Kelley, Mariann Kelley, Karla (Paul) Kasperzak, Jeff (Vicky) Kelley, Chris (LuAnn) Kelley, and Marcia (Steven) DeMars; sister-in-law Diane Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Kelley and Mary Ann (Martig) Kelley; brother, Paul M. Kelley; and granddaughter, Jordan Hanson. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at MI PLACE, N3188 Hwy. V, Poynette, starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
