Obituary

MADISON-Jeremy R. Sorum, age 35, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, March 26, 2012. He was born on Jan. 17, 1977, in Madison, the son of Gerald and Cynthia (Christanson) Sorum. Jeremy was a painter for Howard Grote & Sons the past five years. He had recently completed his journeyman training. Jeremy loved the traveling that his job took him on. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending precious time with his daughter, Samantha. Family time was very important to Jeremy. He will be remembered by all whose lives he touched. Jeremy simply made everything in life FUN! He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Sorum and her mother, Linda; his mother, Cyndie (Steve) Hisel; sisters, Kristin (Denny) Romeo and Caylea Sorum; brothers, Dustin and Tyler Sorum; maternal grandparents, Dave and Eunice Christanson; uncles, Jim Sorum and Jay (Liz) Christanson; aunt, Amy (George) Miller; special niece, Janelle Romeo; and special nephews, Alex and Marcus Romeo. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Sorum; paternal grandparents, Bob and Mildred Sorum; and uncle, David M. Christanson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, with the Rev. Jerry A. Olson presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
