Irene M Forstrom,

MADISON- Irene M. Forstrom, age 87, of Madison, passed away on March 24, 2012, at the University Hospital. She was born on Dec. 24, 1924, the daughter of Matt and Julia Ciula. Irene graduated from Vulcan High School in Michigan. On July 21, 1947, she married Harry Forstrom of Quinnesec, Mich. Throughout her life she was employed at various places. Irene was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, knitting, cooking, reading, gardening and dancing. Irene is survived by her two sons, Dennis and Wayne Forstrom, both of Madison; brother, Henry Ciula of Vulcan, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and brothers, Joe and Edward Ciula. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday night. Burial will take place at Norway Township Cemetery in Michigan at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Though her smile is gone forever and her hand we cannot touch Still we have so many memories of the one we love so much Her memory is our keepsake With which we will never part; God has her in His keeping And we have her in our hearts. Mom, the love you gave so willingly will be with us all forever. Cemetery: Burial will take place at Norway Township Cemetery in Michigan at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012.
