Obituary
MADISON – Agnes Manville, age 78, of Madison, passed away at her home on Friday, March 16, 2012. She was born on February 4, 1934 in Loganville, the daughter of Walter and Mata Schenck. Agnes was united in marriage to Lawrence Thomas “Larry” Manville on Feb. 23, 1952 in Lime Ridge. They made their home in Madison where they raised five children. Larry and Agnes were charter members of St. Dennis Catholic Church and were members of the East Side Club for many years. She loved to play games, especially cards, and tried her luck at several casinos. Agnes worked for JC Penney for 22 years before retiring at age 63. She was an avid Packers and Badgers fan and enjoyed the annual high school State basketball tournaments. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Larry throughout their 58 years of marriage. Agnes is survived by her children, Michael (Cindie) Manville, Gerald (Mary) Manville, Jane (Bob) DeRosia, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Ross and Mark (Rocio Cortes) Manville; grandchildren, Heather Clemitus, Melissa (Justin) Powley, Mariah (Justin) Martin, Megan (Marty) Griffin, Anna (Nick) Payne, Tom (Stacey) Ross, Abigail Ross, Alex and Juliana Manville; great-granchildren, Nick and Chris Clemitus, McKenzie and Michael Powley, William Martin and Taylor Griffin; sisters LaVeta Peper and Louise Fritz; sisters-in-law, Marion Bernhardt and Suzanne Hissey; and brother-in-law, Owen (Shirley) Manville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence in 2010; sister, LaVera Krueger; and brother, Ernest Schenck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday. The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their loving care.
