Obituary
LODI-William J. Chitek, age 75, of Lodi, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Wm. S. Middleton Veterans Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1936, in Sauk City, the son of Joseph and Helen (Lentz) Chitek. He married Audrey Orcutt on Feb. 23, 1957, in Sauk city. William served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Northwestern Construction in Middleton. William enjoyed carpentry, gardening, NASCAR, collecting baseball hats (especially the Brewers), and attending parades. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of Lodi; daughter, Bonnie Walton; grandchildren, Anthony (Elise) Wylesky and Steven (Brittany) Walton; sisters, Kathy and Audrey; and brother, Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Steven Joseph Chitek; brothers, Larry and Bob; and sister, Joyce. Funeral services will be held at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main Street, Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, with Pastor Sandra Schieble presiding. Burial will be at Saint Aloysius Cemetery in Sauk City. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
