Obituary
PACKWAUKEE-Paul Edward Cramer, age 61, of Packwaukee, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in Madison. As a decorated Vietnam veteran, Paul was awarded three purple hearts and various other military honors. Paul enjoyed life to the fullest, especially after being diagnosed with stage four melanoma as a 23 year old U.S. Army sergeant in 1973. He treated each day as a gift. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, painting, quilting, traveling, and doing things for others. He loved children and they loved him, many times mistaking him for Santa Claus. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Annie) Register; two brothers, Sanford and Kevin; two sisters, Diane and Sharon; nieces and nephews; extended family; and many friends. Paul requested to be cremated and to have his ashes scatter in Oahu, Hawaii. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held in the spring.

From 1977 through 2002, Paul was in our lives. We are profoundly saddened at Paul's passing.....

Paul will be forever in my heart. He and I had so many wonderful memories I will cherish.

Paul and I shared a common bond. We were the artists of the siblings looked like our mothers side. Never meeting a stranger in his lifetime, it was sad that he became that with some family members. Despite those issues he was greatly loved and cherished. I will miss his random calls, his laugh , and when he affectionately called me " dork"! I will miss you and am so grateful I got to talk to you Thursday prior to your passing. As I always told you the irony would be that the cancer would not be the death of you! Sleep well my brother.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cramer family during this difficult time. Paul had many talents, including sewing. We will always cherish the quilt he made when our daughter, Chloe, was born.
