Donald James Krueger

VERONA-Donald J. Krueger, age 85, of Verona, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 20, 1926, in Madison, the son of Karl and Marie (Doyle) Krueger. He met and married the love of his life, Virginia May Waldron, on Oct. 14, 1947, in Madison. Donald’s life was about family, hunting, fishing, friends, and his country. He is survived by his children, Terry Krueger, Sandra Mahlum, Victoria Waters and Randy Krueger; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his wife in 2003; and son, Karl in 2009. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 1 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Burial with military honors will be at Middleton Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from Noon until the time of the service.
