Obituary
STOUGHTON-Rick John Olson, age 53, of Stoughton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 22, 1958, the son of Milford and Bonnie Olson. Rick graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School and attended Madison Area Technical College. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Thede on Oct. 9, 1981. Rick was a Senior Project Manager for Bachman Construction, specializing in changeovers and historical restoration. He enjoyed downhill skiing, ATV riding, boating and other outdoor activities. Rick is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Lacy (Andrew) Johnson; son, Brandon Olson; grandchildren, Beatrix, Brody and Mazzy; mother, Bonnie Olson-Willard; sisters, Rhonda (Rich) Schroeder and Rachelle (Gary) Wendt; nieces, nephews and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Olson; and step-father, Bill Willard. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD BY THE LAKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1860 Highway 51, Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, with the Rev. Todd McVey and the Rev. Michael Nielsen presiding. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Highway 51, Stoughton, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. I can't even find the words to say how very sorry I am. Ricky was such a good guy. He was loved and he will be missed. I know he is in a better place I hope that your whole family finds that peace in your lives soon.

I haven't see "Ole" for a long time but always had great memories of him. He was an unforgettable character and I'm sure glad to have known him.
