Obituary

MADISON-Janet Damon, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 24, 1946, in Highland, the daughter of Gerald and Ann Marie (Imhoff) Kroll. Janet graduated from Highland High School. She was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Damon on May 11, 1968. Janet was a daycare provider until she could no longer work. She loved doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren and enjoyed drawing, snowmobiling, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dick; children, Dan (Sheri), Michelle (Cory) Mitchell, and Derek (Shannon Moon); grandchildren, Kylie Damon, Reagan Mitchell, and Timm and Travis Brown; siblings, Kathleen, Jerry (Jane), Rick, Mary Lou (Chuck) and Jim; and many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nancy and Marilyn; and father-in-law, Jerry Damon. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
