Norma Jean Wills

MONONA-Norma Jean Wills, age 78, of Monona, passed away after a brief, but brave battle with cancer on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison. She was born on March 16, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Hermbrott) Ulmer. Norma and Belden began their life together on June 11, 1955, in Chicago, Ill. They moved to Door County in 1967, raised their family and stayed for 40 years. They spent the last five years in Monona. Norma’s sense of humor and acts of kindness endeared her to those who knew her. She enjoyed fishing and hunting, landscaping, watching the Packers, and traveling with her family, particularly to state and national parks. She is survived by her husband, Belden; daughters, Deborah (Larry) Wills Benson and Karen (Tom) Biebel; son, Kenneth (Linda) Wills; grandchildren, Madeline Benson, Derek and Margaret Biebel, Andrew, Tanner, and Paxton Wills. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m.. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding.
