Frances E. Frydenlund

MADISON- Frances E. Frydenlund, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Mar. 27, 1924, in Madison, the daughter of Jon and Amanda (Leggy) Davis. On April 3, 1943, Frances was united in marriage to Floyd Frydenlund, in Grenada, Mississippi. She worked at Hogan’s Pharmacy and retired from the Central Wisconsin Center as a nursing assistant. Frances enjoyed spending her time playing the piano, reading, playing cards, listening to music and baking. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances is survived by her two sons, Gerald Frydenlund and Tom (Mary) Frydenlund; six daughters, Judith (Duane) Johnson, Patricia Frydenlund, Pamela (John Burns) Herbrand, Deborah (Michael) Good, Cheryl Frydenlund and Angela (Jon) Leatherberry; sister, Eleanor Shakstad; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, with Pastor Dean Howell presiding. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. Memorials may be made in Frances’ name to Grace Baptist Church. The family would like to express a special thank you to Agrace HospiceCare and Meriter Hospital for the care they gave to Frances. Cemetery: Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
