Jean L. Underhill

MADISON-Jean L. Underhill, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Waunakee Manor. She was born on Oct. 15, 1921, in Cayuga, N.D., the identical twin daughter of Joseph and Jenness Haring. She was the loving wife of Francis Underhill, who preceded her in death in June of 2005. She was a very hard worker, retiring after 40 years at F.W. Mean’s. She enjoyed her frequent trips to Ho-Chunk Casino and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Jean was a very sweet lady and we will miss her very much. She is survived by her children, Jack (Jan) Ochalla of McFarland, Ken (Mary Jo) Ochalla of Omro, and Raene (Jeff) Williams of DeForest; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex husband, Johnny Ochalla; husband, Francis Underhill; her identical twin sister; two brothers; and four other sisters. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
