Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE-Doris Mae Novy, age 83, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on June 26, 1928, in Arena, the daughter of Fay and Mamie Orcutt. Doris graduated from Lodi High School and was united in marriage to Lawrence Lee Novy on August 14, 1959. She was employed with Mendota Mental Health Institute until her retirement after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the VFW Post 216 Auxiliary. Doris is survived by her husband, Lawrence Novy of Sun Prairie; three sisters, Audrey (William) Chitek of Lodi, Beverly Orcutt of Madison and Sandra Powers of Madison; a brother, Leon (Ruth) Orcutt of Lodi; her goddaughter, Brenda Eubanks of Huntsville, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Graham. Funeral services will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Main St., Lodi at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who helped with Doris’ care.

We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, Doris, Lawrence. Please accept our condolences. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
I always remember the wonderful Kentucky fries chicken you and Doris always brought to Lawrence family reunion. Everybody always looked forward to that.
