Karen Mary Wold

MONONA-Karen Mary Wold, age 61, of Monona, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on October 4, 1950, in Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Carl and Madelyn Wold. Karen graduated from Monona Grove High School. After graduating high school, Karen attended MATC. She then became an event coordinator for multiple businesses in Monona. Karen moved to Texas and she managed large apartment complexes there. Karen eventually returned to the Monona area. Being an excellent cook and baker, she went to work for Lo Beco Catering. Karen enjoyed doing needle work, which she excelled at. Her favorite animals were cats and horses, she was around them every chance she got. She will be sorely missed by all, especially her cat Ralph. Karen is survied by her mother, Madelyn; nieces, Rose and Melissa; nephew, Tyler; and two great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl; brother, Michael; brother Mitchel: and infant brother. A celebration of life Karen's will be held at ANTLERS BAR AND GRILL, 2202 West Broadway, Madison on Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
