Obituary
-Vilma A. “Vi” Ladd, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Oak Park Place in Middleton. She was born on December 4, 1927, in the town of Berry, the daughter of Elmer H. and Emma (Hacker) Beuthin. Vi was united in marriage to Clifford Ladd on October 19, 1949, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the town of Berry. He preceded her in death in 2008. Vi worked as a server at the Stamm House for many years, and later worked at Sentry Foods as their bakery manager. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, it’s Martha Circle, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Choir and Yesterday Youth. Vi also belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #8216 of Middleton and the Cross Plains American Legion Auxiliary #245. In her spare time she loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers, knitting and crocheting, her cats and dogs, but treasured most the time spent with her family and friends. Vi is survived by her children, Vicki (Andy) Breunig, Dennis (Julie) Ladd, Cynthia (Gary) Sukowatey and Brent (Donna) Ladd; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Caroline (John) Morrow , Betty (Chuck) Larson, June Harrington and a brother Daniel (Louise) Beuthin. In addition to her loving husband Clifford, Vi was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer, Emma and Ella; a sister, Helen Wille and two brothers in infancy, Donald and Duane. Funeral services will be held at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2012, with the Reverend Heather Lampert presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton and also on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or Agrace HospiceCare. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Oak Park Place and Agrace HospiceCare for all their wonderful care. Vi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed deeply by her family and many friends.

Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison.

Dennis, So sorry for your loss. Your mother was always smiling and had such a pleasant demeanor. She always took time to talk to me, and ask how I was doing. Take care of yourself.
