Obituary
MADISON-Dorothea L. Barry, age 90, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Willow Pointe Assisted Living in Verona. She was born on April 23, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Mabel (Niebuhr) Stormer. She married Thomas J. Barry on October 14, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa. Dorothea is survived by her four children, William Barry of Mount Horeb, Sharon (Don) Esser of Cross Plains, Bonnie (Douglas) Caparoon of Cambridge and Barbara Page of Madison; 11 grandchildren, Teresa, Patrick, Peggy Jo (Hacker) and Thomas Barry, Renee (Starks), Shawn and Brett Esser, Russell and Robin (Spangler) Caparoon, Julie (Nickel) and Garrett Page; 27 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Dominic Barry, Nicole, Anissa, Katie and Jenna Hacker, Slate, Blade and Trista Barry, Brook (McGettigan) and Samantha Starks, Amber-Lin (Bentley) and Brent Esser, Matthew and Daniel Esser, Logan Caparoon, Jamie, T. J. “Tom”, Jonathon, Tiffany, Joey and Jim Spangler, John and Bridget Nickel, Kelsey, Liam and Caden Page; and eight great-great-grandchildren, Una McGettigan, Ryleigh Bentley, Aaliyah, Julie, Jacob Sanchez, Miya and Chloe Spangler, Raidon Spangler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Barry; three brothers, Joseph, Robert and Victor Stormer; a sister Helen Buerkle, and her son-in-law, Edward Page, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. CHRISTOPHER PARISH, 301 N. Main St., Verona at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2012, with the Reverend William F. Vernon presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Willow Pointe Assisted Living, Dr. Robert cole and Agrace HospiceCare for their wonderful care given to our mother.
