Robert Piper

Piper, Robert L. STOUGHTON-Robert L. Piper, age 67, of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012. He was born on Aug. 9, 1944, in Battle Creek, Mich., the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Ballew) Piper. He married Linda Ziegler on Feb. 27, 1983 in Madison. Robert served in the U. S. Navy. He retired from Dairy Equipment Company/BouMatic as a welder. Prior to that, he worked at Stoughton Trailer in Evansville and at A.T.S. Robert was a great mechanic and loved working on cars. He loved to fish and hunt. Robert is survived by his wife, Linda; four children, Lisa (Chad) Handrow, Stacy (Oscar Ramirez) Piper, Elizabeth (Saul) Pavlinsky and Bryan (Carrie Hale) Piper; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Olivia, Jesse, Ramone, Adaline, Saul Jr., and Victoria; aunts, Lucy (Jim) Speier and Judy (Bud) Roy. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012. A celebration of Robert’s life will continue at VFW Post No. 328, 200 Veterans Road, Stoughton, at 1:30 p.m. for a time of food and fellowship. A memorial visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012.
