Obituary

MADISON-Lucille M. Miller, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born on Aug. 15, 1920, in Highland. She married Emmanuel “Manny” Miller on Nov. 20, 1939. Lucille worked as a bookkeeper for many years, and later worked at the Nifty 50’s Sandwich and Malt Shop, making the best malts in Madison. She enjoyed playing games, cards, bingo, knitting, crocheting and dancing. Lucille is survived by her children, Judy Miller of Colleyville, Texas, Connie (Dick) Schrock of Madison, Bill (Jill) Miller of Stoughton, and Stan (Jane) Miller of Franklin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Emma Bethke and Marge Millette. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Maxine Knipfer; brother, Bob Minter; sisters, Alice Brown and Marie Ford; and special friend, Joe Lashua. Funeral services will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, with the Rev. Bill Lehman presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
