Christine Boeger

LODI-Christine (Ballegeer) Boeger, age 50, passed peacefully on Dec 11, 2011 at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo. She succumbed to cancer, but did not do so without a fight. Chris was an inspiration to many and will be remembered for her cheerful demeanor, her zest for life and her desire to live life as a child of God. She truly was a faithful servant. She married William Boeger in January 1985. They met at UW Eau Claire and later moved on to separate colleges and were married following graduation. Her career as a Nurse (BSRN) was primarily in the nursing homes and elder care. She stayed home with her children Nathan and Katie for a few years and then worked at a daycare center where the children also attended. She later volunteered at the Lodi School where they attended for a few years. Chris then returned to Nursing at Maplewood Nursing home, but had been unable to work since early 2009. Chris enjoyed spending time with family and was always willing to try new adventures to keep the family together in common activities. She also enjoyed scrap-booking, baking, snuggling and long naps. Chris was an active member at Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Church. She is survived by husband William of 27 years marriage, children Nathan (17) & Katie (16), father & mother Donald & Nancy Ballegeer Eau Claire WI, sister Elizabeth Steinke (husband Kurt) Lansing MI, brother Daniel Ballegeer (wife Kristin) Beaverton OR, aunt Patricia Nickel and grandfather Robert Boynton Rock Island, IL. Funeral services will be held at the Lake Wisconsin Evangelical Free Church, N1640 Ryan Road, Lodi at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2011 with the Reverend Brian Erickson presiding, with a time of fellowship and dinner immediately following the service.
