Obituary

MADISON-Anna J. Krajnak, age 93, of Madison passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Oak Park Place. She was born on May 29, 1918, in Madison, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Waldo) Badenna Sr. Anna attended Madison Central High School then right after married Frank Krajnak on Nov. 25, 1936, and started raising a family. In 1941 Anna went to work at Ray-O-Vac until she became a babysitter for her grandchildren. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting and making crafts with Frank. After retirement, Anna and Frank traveled to Florida every winter where they made many close friends. She also loved playing cards, especially GOLF, with her friends at Dempsey Manor. Anna is survived by her daughter, Lillian Susan (John Clayton) Hermsdorf of Cottage Grove; son, Michael (Sharon) Krajnak of Ishpeming, Mich; sister, Lillian Tomlinson; sister-in-law, Johnnie Badenna; grandchildren, Scott Hermsdorf, Kari (Mike) Kant, Kathy (Kevin) Farwell, Sandra (Scott) Holderness, Michelle (Troy) Kessler, Jeffrey Krajnak, Scott Krajnak and Bryan Krajnak; great-grandchildren, Emily Kant, Corrine Farwell, and Kayla Holderness; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Fred in 2009; son-in-law, Fred; brothers, Joseph, Ted, Anthony, Charles and John; sister, Theresa; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with Monsignor Michael Hippee of St. Bernard Catholic Church presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Prairie Gardens Assisted Living, Oak Park Place and Agrace HospiceCare for all their support and kindness over the past weeks and years.
