Andrew J. Welch

MADISON-Andrew Welch, age 53, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at his home in Madison. He was born on July 28, l958, in Madison, the son of Robert and Mary Ann (Schlump) Welch. Andrew graduated from James Madison Memorial High School in Madison. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Gessler on June 16, l990, in Madison. They were partners in marriage but also in business. They owned their own cleaning company for ten years. More recently, Andrew was a newspaper carrier for the Wisconsin State Journal. Andrew is survived by his parents; his stepdaughter, Jodi (Eric) Gulling of Oregon; son, Jamie of Madison; brother, Peter M. (Nina) Welch of Stoughton; nieces, Megan and Emily Welch; and nephews, Kyle and Ryan Padfield. He is also survived by a special 'uncle', Michael Schlump. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn. Andrew’s wishes were to have a private ceremony. There will be a memorial service at a later date. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
