Obituary

MADISON-Paul M. Kelley, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at his home after a hard-fought determined battle with cancer. He was born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Madison, the son of John and Mary Ann (Martig) Kelley. He married Diane Weber on June 29, 2001, in Madison. Paul worked for the City of Madison Streets Department for 38 years and retired in 2005. He was the past president of Luna Local 236 and a member of the Golden Bell Ringers Club for the Salvation Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and vacationing in the Carribean. He was passionate about his lawn and after he retired, he was happiest spending time at his camper working on the lawn and watching the wildlife. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a big Packers and Badgers fan. Paul is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Mark (Faith) Kelley of Madison, Kevin (Tammy) Kelley of Belleville, Lynn (Chris) Thomas of Sun Prairie; seven brothers and sisters, John (Diane) Kelley, Tim (Rhonda) Kelley, Marianne Kelley, Karla (Paul) Kasprzak, Jeff (Vicky) Kelley, Chris (Louanne) Kelley and Marcia (Steve) DeMars; six grandchildren, Joshua and Brian Kelley, Kate and Cade Kelley, Sydney and Tyler Thomas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Merrigan; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, C. J. Davis. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with Chaplain Jason Hill-Agrace presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. There will be a private family burial. The family wishes to thank Agrace Hospice for their assistance and care when Paul needed them most. “Uncle Paul, you Rock!” Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, with Chaplain Jason Hill-Agrace presiding.

I was so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. It is hard when someone you love dies, but he will always be in your heart and memories. May god bless you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Paul.
