Janice Johnsrud

OREGON- Janice L. Johnsrud, age 79, formerly of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Feb. 1, 1932, in Boscobel, the daughter of Harvey and Ruby (Ricks) Ward. Janice graduated from Boscobel High School in 1950. On Aug. 10, 1950, she married Glen Johnsrud in Boscobel. They moved to Oregon in 1968. Janice worked for WPS in customer service and retired in 1997. Prior to working at WPS, she worked at Manchesters and the Emporium as a bookkeeper. Janice is survived by her four children, Kim Johnsrud of Madison, Deb (Barry) Haley of Madison, Becky (Jim Worachek) Buroker of Waunakee and Christian (Brenda) Johnsrud of Stoughton; nine grandchildren, Jammie, Jeremy and Joshua Jones, Jason and Jesse Grueneberg, Bethany, Brianna and Brandon Buroker and Jakob Johnsrud; six great-grandchildren, Austin Marlowe, Trina, Harley, Carly and Ian Jones and Amara Meyer; sister, Ruth Strang of Boscobel; sisters-in-law, Pearl Ward of Sun Prairie and Lorraine (Kerm) Johnsrud Rink of Mosinee; and brother-in-law, Leroy (Carol) Johnsrud of Neenah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Johnsrud in 1998; brothers, Clinton, Darrel and Howard Ward; and sisters, Dorothy Wayne and Lorraine Peterson. Funeral services will be held at CASTLE ROCK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 14677 Church Road, Fennimore, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Cemetery: Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
