Obituary
OREGON/ PEWAUKEE- Gloria Florence (Stafford) Gable, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. She was born on Sept. 18, 1925, in Albany, New York, the daughter of Ralph and Jane (Amsler) Stafford. Gloria was united in marriage to Kenneth Gable. She worked on the electronic assembly line for General Electric. Gloria was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oregon. She is survived by her children, Jude (Richard) Gilbert, Steven (Tammy) Gable and Ralph (Dorothy) Gable; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence; and two sisters, Lorraine and Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood, Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, with the Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

I met your mom through quilting at St. John's Lutheran church. A lot of wisdom and historical information has just been lost. I hope Gloria wrote it all in a book. I learned many baking tips from her. Gloria was a dear friend and will be remembered. God Bless her family.
