Jeffery A. Ward,

OREGON- Jeffery A. Ward, age 49, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at Agrace HospiceCare from colon cancer. He was born on Dec. 6, 1962, in Hillsbourough, the son of Jay Ward and Angie Dominguez. Jeff married Kristine Proksch, the love of his life and best friend, on Aug. 20, 2011 in a little log cabin church. He was raised in Columbus. Jeff worked for Terra Engineering, Tri-North Builders and Stetson Building Supply. He enjoyed old cars, hunting and loved the fall. He appreciated the little things in life and found humor in everything. Jeff would do anything for anybody and he did. He was very proud of his boys. Jeff is survived by his wife, Kristine; two children, Brett and Hunter; step-son, Joshua King; mother, Angie Dominguez; siblings, James (Sue) Ward, Susan Baerwolf, Bobby (Brenda) Ward, Paula Mares, Timmy McCracken and Nina (Chris) Van Syckel; aunt and uncle, Eugene and Janie Urban; aunt, Rose (Ray) Tydrich; special brother-in-law and friend, Kent Tydrich; friend, John (Janet Leggett) Rabuck; and several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his uncle and mentor, Jim Burch; maternal grandparents, Russell and Lillian Urban; and paternal grandparents. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club. A special thank you to Gilda’s Club and Agrace HospiceCare for their support and care. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Jim, Lisa, Eugene and Janie who have always supported us from the start. Thank you to Bobby and Pam Hollis for the magicial weekend in Michigan.
